Immediate Opening: Unadilla Valley CSD seeks a Typist or Senior Typist to join our support staff team. Both positions are full-time, 12-month positions. The Typist and Senior Typist positions have been reclassified under civil service to non-competitive under the NY HELPS Program. UV offers a competitive pay rate and benefits package per the CSEA contract.

Typist Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma

Senior Typist Qualifications

A. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma AND either:

B. Possession of an Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science, Information Processing, Office Technology, or a closely related field; OR

C. Completion of at least (30) semester credit hours in secretarial science, information processing, or office technology and one year of full-time paid clerical experience or its part-time equivalent, which included typing; OR

D. Two years of full-time paid clerical experience or its part-time equivalent, one year of which included typing, OR

E. An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of A, B, and C above.
