LIBRARY MEDIA SERVICES
The Unadilla Valley Middle/High and Elementary Library/Media Centers are connected via a walkway. The libraries are centered between the two schools at the end of “Storm Alley”.
This puts our libraries at the center of learning for the district. We have begun an Independent Reading program that is district wide. To help with this, we have changed the setup of the library to make the books easier to locate. On the MS/HS side, we have changed the location of the fiction books making them more prominent and pulled out a number of interesting series for students to look through.
“Reading should not be presented to children as a chore or duty. It should be offered to them as a precious gift.” — Kate DiCamillo
