Dear UV Families:

Like many other districts across the state, Unadilla Valley continues to experience a substitute bus driver shortage. The shortage and increased illnesses being reported county-wide has impacted our transportation department.

This morning, we experienced a shortage that resulted in utilizing our plan to omit a bus from the initial run. This means that there may be days when the transportation schedule changes. For example, if we are short-staffed, the transportation department will need to rearrange the pick-up points and some students may be picked up at a later time. You will be contacted by the school if this will affect your child(ren). If there is a broader impact to the school community, or under certain other circumstances, we will notify all families. For example, we would follow the same notification procedures that we would for an emergency day, delay, early dismissal, or a remote learning day.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support. If you have any questions, please contact your building principal or me at the district office.

Sincerely,
Brenton S. Taylor, Superintendent of Schools
