As the region enters a rare June heat wave, we wanted to update you on what the district is doing in response.
The AC systems at the school are all in operation.
To keep students safe during their field days later this week, grades kindergarten through 2 will have their field day in the gym during regularly scheduled PE time. Snacks and drinks will be available.
For grades 3 through 6, students will continue to swim with their classes during the remainder of the week during their PE time. Snacks and drinks will be available for them on Thursday, June 20.
All other activities at the school will continue as scheduled. We are attaching a document from the National Weather Service on heat safety for your convenience.
Please also remember there are no classes for students on Wednesday, June 19, in recognition of the Juneteenth holiday.
