Unadilla Valley CSD learned of an alleged threat circulating on social media earlier this evening.
Because we had extra-curricular activities underway at the school, the district put in place additional security measures.
We would like to thank the students, parents, and community members who made law enforcement and school officials quickly aware of the information circulating on social media. The New Berlin Police Department was able to make contact with the person who was alleged to have made the threat, and they determined that there was no direct threat against the school community.
The school day is expected to continue as planned for Wednesday, March 19. Again, thank you to the students, parents, staff, and community members for helping to keep our school community safe.
